History
Badger Services LLC (Badger) traces its origins to 1979, with the onset of the McClymond family oil and gas business. Initially designed to provide in-house operational support, as the family oil and gas holdings grew, so did the range of operational services. Eventually, Badger Rotary Drilling, was established to support and improve the efficiency of an affiliate drilling program. Managed by Petroleum Exploration Company, Ltd. (PetEx), Badger drilled more than 150 wells through 2014. Ultimately Badger’s role evolved beyond internal support, and the company began offering drilling, well servicing, construction, and supply services to the broader oil and gas industry.
Over time, the company grew through strategic expansion—acquiring respected regional businesses such as JiMac Supply and Mike’s Pump and Supply, while purchasing the assets of Dawne Oilfield Service and Supply, Double J Pipe and Supply, and Big T Backhoe Service. This blend of acquisitions (personnel and asset purchases) strengthened Badger’s capabilities and rooted its reputation in deep experience, strong local relationships, and a commitment to hard work and doing business the right way.
Today
Operating as Badger Services since 2007, the company delivers a full suite of oilfield solutions across multiple divisions: well servicing, dirt construction, PLUGGING AND ABANDONMENT, roustabout crews, and equipment and supply sales. With locations in Breckenridge and Big Spring, Badger employs a team of over four dozen skilled, safety-conscious professionals committed to round-the-clock support.
The Big Spring supply store, acquired via Fairview Supply, is a growing hub with a sharp focus on price and service, passing to the customer on-site delivery of a highly optimized and cost effective procurement practices. Meanwhile, our Breckenridge operation continues to anchor well servicing, plugging and abandonment and construction in the region. Every decision we make is guided by our core philosophy: provide exceptional service, deliver competitive pricing, and work harder than the other guy.
